Welcome
The goals of kendo are to build a strong healthy body and to develop a sound character with perseverance, mental fortitude, and the ability to quickly and keenly observe, analyze, understand, and promptly cope with any situation. These qualities can be aptly applied to our everyday lives. (Kendo: Aiea Taiheiji Kendo Manual, 1995, Hawaii Kendo Federation) You are welcomed to join our practices every Wednesday night at 7:00pm at the Wahiawa Hongwanji Recreation Center.

COVID UPDATE: 7/8/2021
Dear friends and members,
We finished 2nd practices at Wahiawa Kendo Club last night without kendo-gu on. We practiced much shorter and lighter way, just warm up exercises, suburi, Boku To Ni Yoru Kendo Kihon Waza Keiko Hou and part of Kata. We were done by 8PM. In July, we will practice same way gradually increasing amount. Then, in August we start one with kendo-gu on.
Come and join with us whenever you are ready. Tuesday practice at Waipahu Konkokyo is also open. Stay safe and healthy. - Sato Sensei
